Matt de Lira Is A Highly Talented Litigation And Trial Attorney.

Matt, a San Diego personal injury attorney, has been leading the charge in some of Phillip & Pelly’s greatest successes, including a $24.9 million bench award/judgement, and firm record settlements of $8.75 million, $3.4 million, $2 million, and $1.5 million. For the year 2021, according to TopVerdict, Matt’s $24.9 million judgment was the highest bench award in California and the 7th highest bench award in the United States.

Since 2021, Matt has been recognized as a Super Lawyer Rising Star, a designation that only 2.5% of the California lawyers have received. Matt is a lifetime member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, where membership is limited to attorneys who have obtain result over $2 million.

Before representing the injured, Matt worked for a large insurance company defending against victim claims. His experience as a defense counsel gives him an insightful advantage as a victim’s advocate. Matt is a creative and resourceful litigator, often handling the firm’s most difficult and challenging cases, and bringing them to fruition. Matt graduated from UCLA School of Law, and also obtained from UCLA his master’s degree and bachelor’s degree. Matt is a born and raised San Diego native, proudly serving clients throughout San Diego, including Carlsbad, Encinitas, and Del Mar. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife, young children, and extended family.
